ANIMATION CEL ART

Original animation cel art which was the primary method of producing 2D animation prior to the advent of computers. The characters were either traced onto a piece of clear acetate (cel) and painted on the reverse side, or illustrated in full color on paper, cut out and pasted on the cel. The cels were then placed over a hand painted background and photographed one frame at a time on an animation camera stand.
